Elysian Isle Avocado Oil
This oil has class. From New Zealand, it is cold pressed from the flesh of ripe avocados. The resulting flavor is as rich as the oil's deep green hue, and it's classy fragrance is aswirl with butter, hazelnuts and a faint wisp of citrus. The rich fruitiness reminisces of fine olive oil, and it can be used in much the same way. Drizzle over chilled roasted beets with a sprinkle of good sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. An avocado oil aioli dresses grilled asparagus or steamed artichokes in style. Or infuse the avocado oil with lemon myrtle oil for your summer tomatoes and leafy salads. With a smoking point of over 500 degrees and some intriguing healthy-heart benefits, it doubles as a saute oil, nice for the more absorbant vegetables like mushrooms, sweet corn, and eggplant.
